BLACK BEAR HUNTS
Come hunt black bears with Adventure Destinations on the hunt of a lifetime in the Boreal Forest of Northern Saskatchewan
TRAVEL
Your adventure begins from the moment you land in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We will meet you at the airport (or pick you up at your hotel) and your journey begins with the 450-kilometer (280 mile) drive to Thompson’s Resort in the Hamlet of Missinipe on the shores of Otter Lake. Enjoy the drive and watch the beautiful landscape of Saskatchewan shift from wide-open Prairie to the Boreal forest.
Don’t like the sound of a 5-hour drive? We can arrange a private charter flight from Saskatoon. Please call to inquire.
*Overnights in Saskatoon are not included in package
HUNTING STRATEGY
Almost all bear hunts in Saskatchewan are done over baits. Baiting begins as soon as law permits (weather conditions may affect this date).
We have a 2:1 hunter/guide ratio. We use ladder tree stands, ground blinds, and trail cameras at our bait stations.
We only have 4 hunters per week in camp at any given time.
HUNTING SCHEDULE
Date range: mid-May through June. This is a 5 day / 6 night package. Arrivals are on Sunday and departures for Saskatoon are on Saturday. Your hunt will begin around 2pm daily, starting Monday.
Sunday: Arrive in Saskatoon, travel day, depart for Thompson's Resort in Missinipe. Your tags and licenses will be ready upon arrival.
Monday to Friday: Hunting and fishing.

Like to fish? Otter Lake has great pike and walleye fishing. Boats are available to you at no extra charge. Fishing licenses are not included but are available for purchase in Missinipe.
